The Labrador Duck is what started my great interest in North America's extinct gamebirds. Of all the remaining specimens only 55 skins/mounts still exist (fewest of the extinct birds for North America).
This all brought me to doing recreations of the Labrador duck by taking various parts from different birds, sewing and dying the pieces so they make an accurate representation of this former east coast sea duck.
